The system consists of two principal components:

The Secure Data Box (SDB) which is installed at the client’s site and
The Network Operations Center (NOC) which is hosted at the ITBBC facilities

The figure, below, shows an example of a typical installation

At the Client Site
The SDB manages the intermediate storage of client critical data and its transmission to the NOC.

At ITBBC Facilities
The NOC maintains the client critical data on multiple sites and on redundant storage at each site.

In the event of client system failures, The NOC transmits lost data back to the client facility to allow operations to continue.

In the event that the client site becomes inoperable because of a disaster, the NOC will enable the client to continue operations at one of the ITBBC facilities.
